Kaffir Lime Fruit
We grow Kaffir Limes here at Chillingham.

The fruit is a rough, warty green fruit that grows on very thorny bushes with aromatic and distinctively shaped "double" leaves. The green lime fruit is ditinguished by its bumpy exterior and its small size (approx. 4cm wide). It is also known as Thia, Makrut, Wild, or Asian Lime. The leaves and the rind are mainly used in cooking for their strong aromatic flavour. The juice and rind is regarded as 'medicine citrus' and is used in shampoos, conditioners, creams, astringents and cleaners. We have made just a few for you.....
