The year 2017 saw Buck receive one of the food industry’s greatest awards – NSW Delicious. Produce Award. He was named state winner in the category of From the Earth. The other award categories were: From the Dairy, From the Paddock, From the Sea. To be a finalist each recipient had to be nominated by a well-known chef that uses the produce. Buck was nominated by a renowned chef from the Coast.


The very first media interest came from the ABC’s Landline. They contacted Buck around 1998 to interview him about his newly marketed niche produce. Over the years Buck has been visited by many television personalities. The most well-known include Maggie Beer, Mike Whitney, Paul Mercurio and Frankie J Holden. They have aired Buck on their televised shows – The Cook and the Chef, Sydney Weekender, Mercurio’s Menu, What’s Up Down Under and Better Homes and Gardens.


Buck has also had many writers compose articles about his farm. This has been promoting the Gold Coast Hinterland, informing people of the beauty that surrounds the Tweed. It has been a great tourist read in magazines and newspapers such as Ocean Road, NRMA, Inflight Jetstar, Master Chef, and the Gold Coast Bulletin.
